Abstract EN

This study aimed to Designing a WEB QUEST and investigating its impact on achievement and acquisition of scientific concepts among first-grade scientific secondary students in the subject of earth and environmental sciences in Jordan.

and was used semi-experimental, the sample of study consisted of (46) students from the first grade of scientific secondary of kufranjah secondary school for boys in Ajloun governorate, divided into two sections, one of them was randomly chosen to represent the experimental group which consisted of (22) students who were taught by WEB QUEST, the other one is a control group consisted of (24) students who were taught by using familiar method, the study tools constructed of an achievement test, and the test of the acquisition of scientific concepts, the study concluded that there is a statically significant difference between the average of students performance in both the experimental and control groups on the post-test and the test of the acquisition of scientific concepts in favor of experimental group, the study also recommended the use of WEB QUEST in teaching earth and environmental science in private and the materials of science in general because of their impact on the increase in achievement and the acquisition of scientific concepts.
