يمثل المسح الآثاري أحد أهم الأعمال الحقلية الآثارية، التي تشتمل فضلا عنه على أعمال التحري وأعمال التنقيبات وأعمال الصيانة، فالمسح الآثاري يتمثل بجميع أعمال البحث عن المواقع الأثارية ومن خلاله تتم عملية جمع العينات المطلوبة لتحقيق هدف مشروع المسح الآثاري، والقيام بوصفها وصفا علميا دون اللجوء إلى عملية الكشف والتدخل عن طريق إجراء حفريات، ويمكن أن يقوم فريق المسح بعمل مجسات أو تهذيب للسطوح المائلة أو الأخاديد التي تتكون بفعل مياه الأمطار، أو استخدام الحفر التي خلفها سراق الآثار في المواقع الآثارية التي تعرضت للنهب مثلما حدث في العراق وسوريا، إذ يمكن تنظيف تلك الحفر والإفادة منها في معرفة طبيعة طبقات الاستيطان في الموقع المراد مسحه آثاريا، بغض النظر عن الوسائل المعتمدة في الكشف سواء كانت تقليدية أو متطورة.
Abstract EN
The archaeological survey represents one of the most important archaeological field works, which includes in addition to investigations, excavations and preservations.
to the process of detection and intervention by carrying out excavations, and the survey team can make probes or refine the inclined surfaces or grooves formed by rain water, or use the pits left by antiquities thieves in archaeological sites that were looted, as happened in Iraq and Syria, as it can be cleaned those excavations and the use of them in knowing the nature of the settlement layers in the site to be surveyed archaeologically, regardless of the methods adopted in the detection, whether they are traditional or advanced.
