Al-Hirah, in the middle of the desert, the alluvial plain, civilization and Bedouin, and between different cultures, was able to present one of the special models of Arab urban life before Islam.

in order to know the extent of the impact of (al-Hirah) on Kufa and therefore Najaf, it is important to search for an urban planning vision for it.

the research found that there are basic differences with the Islamic cities because they were not an advanced civilization like the Islamic civilization, but rather it can be said that it represents a cross-fertilization and mingling between the nomads and the great civilizations such as the Persians and the Byzantines, and also under the influence of a great Mesopotamian heritage in addition to the Arab-Yemeni civilization.

the scientific cultural environment in al-Hirah had a clear impact on its architecture and had a contribution to the crystallization of Islamic architecture through what was called the al-Hirah style.

the research presents the most important achievements and urban characteristics in al-Hirah in an attempt to clarify this important aspect in it and its effects on our cities.
