The research discusses political and religious situations in England during the reign of king James I 1603-1625, and the country's chaos because the king is believed in the theory of divine authority and the right of the holy king.

as a result of this understanding, James believed that any law passed without consulting the parliament is above the law because it is the one who issues the law and the king derives his power from god and not from the people and is accountable to god alone and no one has any authority to hold him accountable.

in addition, the religious situation reached the peak of the conflict between the king and the religious sects of the puritan, and even the Catholics who were persecuted during the reign of king James I, which ultimately led to the emigration of these communities.
