Contemporary reading is a term referring to a new reading of the Qur'an that is based on the reader, and in a contemporary language, the text is part of the reader's share, not the author, as he is the one who writes the text and has the priorty to interpret it, and if this definition applies to the method of Shahrour, then it is far from al-Nili.

though, al-Nili's reading is contemporary, because it was able to bring something new.

our research avoided the details and was satisfied with studying the main problem studied by these two (two researchers) : the synonym by the first, and the arbitrariness by the second, so the study consisted of two sections : the first presents Shahrour's problem, which he dealt with in all his books : the synonym, and the second presents the al-nili's problem, which he dealt with in all his books : arbitrariness.

with the difference in the degree of persuasion, for while we find that al-Nili is more convincing and scientific, Shahrour does not have anything scientific or objective.
