Abstract EN

The present study deals with one of the most important recent topics: Cloud Computing, and the prominent role it plays in promoting electronic information services in virtual academic libraries by identifying the ways to use cloud computing applications; its dimensions in academic libraries; the extent of its impact on the library's architecture, its requirements and increasing its efficiency to ensure the development of its electronic library services.

The descriptive approach based on analysis is the research methodology used in this study, being the most appropriate to the nature of the study.

A great number of Arabic and foreign documents related to the present topic were used to collect and analyse information about it, in addition to the cloud services presented by the providers.
