The health situation in Algeria during the period 1990-2018

Abstract EN

This study aims to shed light on the reality of the health system in Algeria, and to highlight the stages that the health sector went through in Algeria after independence, as well as having a look at the most important demographic indicators such as deaths and births that contribute significantly to the future planning of the country.

The appropriate descriptive analytical approach was relied on for this study, and one of the most prominent results reached is an improvement in the health level in Algeria during the period 1990-2018 in comparison to what it was after independence, This is thanks to the health policies applied in Algeria which had a positive impact, such as the application of free treatment, which greatly contributed to improving the health situation of the population.
