The study adopted the experimental method to discover new ways for glass clay manufacturing and forming, as one the newly developed material which is not available locally and not covered by studies in Sudan.
soda lime glass was taken as non-crystallized glass as a basic sample, persol glass, special art glass and colored beads were taken as secondary samples for surface paint, moreover kaolin and Arabic gum were used as binder materials.
oxides of tin, titanium, manganese, chrome, and cobalt were used to coloring mixtures.
the glass is milling in ball mill and screening through sieves by measure 600 – 500 – 250 – 150 micron.
formulated a different mixtures and treated by heating between 059 to 1108 c degrees in test furnace.
general properties of mixtures were documented and artistic shapes were made.
also it was select the appropriate shaping methods according to the required uses.
