Abstract EN

The overall aim of this research is to investigate the situation of music learning in the Sudan, from the point of view of music teachers at the secondary level , the researcher explored the roll of ministry of education in music education and equipment support , the researcher adopted the descriptive research method and questionnaire for collection of data , research population consisted of ( 60) teacher of music in the secondary schools of Khartoum state, out of which ( 40 ) teachers war randomly chosen as research sample.

the statistical treatment of data was done by the (SPSS).

the most important results are: the role of the ministry of education in music learning is weak: a.

no official course for music learning.

b.

no assigned periods for music learning c.

small number of music teachers and meanwhile appointing of new teachers is irregular.

d.

musical instruments are not available to a minimum e.

no budget for music teaching or musical activities.
