مع إتساع دائرة النزاعات و الحروب الأهلية داخل القارة الإفريقية شكلت هذه التحديات اختبارا حقيقيا لجهود منظمة الأمم المتحدة في مجال السلم و الأمن، خاصة في بيئات أكثر عنفا و أكثر تعقيدا، حيث تواصلت أدوار الأمم المتحدة في إفريقيا، و أخذت أشكالا متعددة نتيجة لتعقد الصراعات الإفريقية و تشابكها، و الذي أسهم بدوره في تكثيف جهود الأمم المتحدة في حفظ السلم و الأمن الدوليين في إفريقيا، و تعد عمليات حفظ السلام اليوم واحدة من الأدوات المحورية التي تستخدمها الأمم المتحدة للحفاظ على السلام و الأمن الدوليين.
Abstract EN
The widening circle of conflicts and civil wars in the African continent; it constituted a real test for the efforts of the United Nations in the field of peace and security ; especially in the more violent and complex environments that contributed to the intensification of United Nations; efforts to maintain international peace and security in Africa.
Today; peacekeeping operations are one of the central tools used by the United Nations to maintain international peace and security.
