Abstract EN

The study aimed to find out the level of use of social networking sites in the educational process of a sample of university students, and whether there are differences in this use due to variables (gender, university level, and the duration of daily communication).

To achieve these goals, the study relied on the descriptive approach steps, and used a tool to collect data represented in a scale prepared by the two researchers (Odeh Suleiman Murad and Omar Musa Mahasneh, 2016), and related to the field (the use of social networking sites in the educational process).

The study was conducted on a sample of university students throughout the Algerian country during the 2020-2021 academic year.

After collecting the necessary data, we processed it depending on the statistical methods represented by the arithmetic mean and the standard deviation, the Mann-Whitney test to find out the differences between two independent samples, and the Kruskal-Wallis test to find the differences for more than two groups, using the SPSS statistical program.

The study resulted in results represented in the presence of a high level of use of social media in the educational process among university students, in addition to the ence of differences between students in this use due to variables (gender, university level, and the duration of daily communication).
