Abstract EN

This article reviews the results obtained through our sociological analytical study on a series of works and researches that dealt with the emergence and growth of the social group of Algerian industrial managers.

In addition, it deals with the role it has played in the various historical stages that the public institution has gone through since independence until today.

The focus was put on political, social, and economic changes that the country has known all along these stages and their implications for the public industrial establishment.

The study showed that the social group of managers, which date back to its inception until after independence, had known a stage of growth and prosperity when the national industry developed.

Its position deteriorated and lost its professional identity on the day the state of national institutions deteriorated.
