The Arab and Islamic heritage abounds in a set of intellectual patterns that prevent deviation in its various levels.

from these patterns, we find the Sufi thought, which represents the spiritual side in Islam.

therefore, the article sought to show the impact of Sufi ethics on preventing intellectual extremism, the aim of the article is to expose the functionality of Sufi ethics and its role in protecting society, as well as direct attention to this thought, as morality is one of its formative components, which could be one of the reasons for achieving the renaissance that Islamic societies want.

the article used the analytical method by tracking Sufi ethics and extracting what fits the purpose with analysis and clarification.

the result of the research was that Sufi ethics had an impact on the distance from extremism, through its keenness on serenity in the relationship with god, and on positive communication with humanity.

therefore, it was appropriate for studies to be devoted to the topic of Sufi ethics to show its merits and functionality.
