The phenomenon of poverty has a great place in the ladder of economists' concerns in different countries of the world because of its multidimensional economic, social, health, environment, etc.

In addition, there is a variation in poor people themselves from a country to another, there are rich people in a particular country and poor social class in another, but the common feature is the negative repercussions that affect all areas beyond even other countries, among them we find Algeria where led specialists to Declaration the danger of poverty and seek to put and develop programs and plans to fight this phenomenon.

Therefore, we seek through this research to show the characteristics and characteristics of the phenomenon of poverty in Algeria and its concepts, causes and manifestations in Algeria by providing figures regarding the phenomenon and suggest some solutions to alleviate them.
