In light of the changes taking place in the international arena, the field of international relations has become the scene of many interactions between countries.

These interactions are embodied in international practices through foreign policy.

So that the latter is considered the last tool that preserves the goals and interests of countries outside their borders, by relying on a set of mechanisms and tools.

Therefore, we will try through this research paper to address the orientations of Algerian foreign policy towards neighboring countries, and what are the determinants that affect them, based on the presence of many variables that come at the forefront of border disputes, especially since Algeria is one of the countries that overlooks a large number of neighboring countries, which makes it in front of Various security and political challenges, such as the Libyan conflict, the Tuareg uprising in Mali.
