The United Nations defends women's right to equality with men and considers discrimination against them a serious violation of their rights; Therefore, it is established to protect it from all discriminatory practices and calls it discrimination on the basis of sex.

The matter has developed into the development of special texts, including the CEDAW Convention, which obliges states parties to take all measures to end all forms of discrimination against women, declaring their right to enjoy all their rights on an equal basis with men.

Thus, it establishes new principles that have the effect of changing the type of relations in society because it calls for a narrow meaning of equality in line with the Western liberal view that sanctifies the freedom of individuals at the expense of the group; This has its effect in establishing the principle of strength and attraction in rights and duties instead of cooperation and compassion in them.
