Abstract EN

This study seeks to present a conceptual approach to the term of ''jihad'' from an advocacy perspective, in the context of its semantic relationship with the terms “calling to religion” and “showing religion.

” guided by the Qur'anic and prophetic contexts for the terms 'jihad' and ''call'', and the accompanying explanatory and historical heritage.

This is to reveal the extent of the shortcomings and negative field use of some Islamic practices, past and present, of the term ''jihad'' and limiting it to its narrow combative form.

Therefore, both terms ''jihad'' and ''call'' were dealt with in the language, terminology and usage of the Qur'an, with a distinction between the terms “calling to religion” and “showing religion” to reach the conclusion that ''jihad'' in all its forms is closely related to spreading the word of monotheism, and that ''call'' revolves around exerting effort and patience in order to spread the call to Allah.
