Abstract EN

This research deals with monitoring and analysis depending on the method of historical research, the intellectual and political development of the PMOI opposition 1965-1981 AD by tracing its roots depending on the intellectual and political activities that emerged in Iran during the period of the 1950s, and then the emergence of the official movement since 1965, when it had Islamic trends that see that Islam has a mechanical democratic ideology, and its formation is a political organization that relies on armed action and combines Islam and Marxism, and seeks to fulfill the demands and interests of the middle class.

the research touched on the development of the organization, the growth of its structure and its intellectual, political and field activity, as it was formed at its inception from a group of organized political cadres, then its committees and sphere of influence expanded, and many influential members of leaders, thinkers and supporters of Iranian society joined it.

the research dealt with the organization's confrontations and struggles with the ruling regime when the intellectual and political conflicts turned into armed confrontations, arrests and executions campaigns that ended with the fall of the Shah's regime in 1979 AD, then the organization's struggle with the guardianship of the jurist regime led by Khomeini, which it saw as not different from the Shah's regime, so the organization continued to demand justice and equality rights.

Among the components of the Iranian people through political means, and after the rejection and severe repression of the Khomeini regime, the PMOI became since 1981 in exile.
