Abstract EN

The study aims to highlight the role of the family in teaching the individual behaviors to respect the environment.

the study was conducted on a sample of 80 individuals (heads of a family) from the city of Tipasa.

the questionnaire, observation, interview techniques were relied for data collection, and the descriptive approach, the functional, dialectical and deterministic approach.

the results confirmed that the acquisition of cultural values, respect, responsibility and citizenship takes place through communication, habit and adaptation.

the majority of respondents also confirmed that preserving the environment is a habit of citizens in the region.
