This paper deals with the issue of the mother's work and how it reduces the time available to her to take care of her children and reduce her performance at home, and the effects of this on the academic competencies of primary school students.

the study is based on a field survey in the municipality of al-Shibli, based on a questionnaire containing 54 questions, distributed to an empirical sample of 250 students.

the effect of women's work on various dimensions of fatigue and low performance at home is evident, but this does not automatically lead to a decline in the children's academic achievement.
