Today's crimes in their traditional form are no longer a threat to the evolving crime of the information revolution or the so-called cybercrime, the latter of which threatens the individual, society and security of nations, whereby they were characterized as transnational crimes, which necessitated concerted international, regional and national efforts to fight them.

The United Nations also had an important and remarkable role in this field, where it tried per se to hold many conferences and issue many decisions that would draw attention to the fact that technical solutions alone are not sufficient to fight cybercrime or provide protection, but rather there must be specific criminal legislation that accommodates these information crimes.
