Abstract EN

The study aims to know the reality of assessing the skill performance of Algerian football players from the coaches' point of view.

the descriptive approach was used in the survey method.

the sample of the study reached 105 coaches.

a questionnaire was used and distributed to coaches, and after treating the results statistically, it was found that most coaches do not rely on tests and measurements in the process of evaluating skill performance, and they depend on passing observations, applied and competitive interviews, and the experience and skill of the trainer.

the researchers recommended the need to use modern scientific foundations such as tests and measurements in the evaluation process.

relying on the calendar is an integral part of the training program.
