The purpose of the study is to identify the psychological impact of the recreational sports in decreasing the fear of being infected by the COVID19 among citizens, in addition to the role of this type of activities in decreasing the fear of the virus and the fear of the future as a result of the spread of pandemic, to achieve these objectives; the study relied on a descriptive method appropriate for the nature of the subject, through distributing electronic questionnaires via social media on non-random sample of citizens from Sétif city, the results showed that the entertaining sports activities have an important role in decreasing the fear of contracting the coronavirus, therefore the study recommended recreational sports as a means of avoiding anxiety and self-comfort for citizens.
