Temporary grants are one of the most important measures that the Algerian legislator introduced for the first time in the Presidential Decree 250/02.

Its purpose is to protect the requirements of transparency in public demand through the protection of the rules of fair competition and the integrity that is subject to the process of concluding public transactions.

Temporary grants may inform the contestants through publication, in the name of the contractor who has been selected by the contracting authority temporarily, in accordance with the criteria stipulated in the regulation of public transactions.
