The Security Council is considered as one of the principal organs of the United Nations Organization, which has been entrusted with the task of keeping and maintaining international peace and security, and taking into account the great experience gained by this body, it has developed its means, methods and mechanisms to fully fulfill the role assigned to it, especially since the causes of conflicts have also evolved.

The Security Council needs to develop and update its guidance to keep pace with the tremendous developments in the field of international relations within the contemporary international community, and with the acceleration of international events that pose a threat to the International peace and security Similar to the current situation in Libya, the Security Council must find new ways to preserve and maintain international peace as well as to prevent conflicts before they arise.
