Abstract EN

The present study aimed at revealing the perceived social support level for a sample of 120 students) male and female students from Hassiba Benbouali university of Chlef, using the descriptive approach.

for achieving the study’s objectives, al Misri social support questionnaire (2019) was applied after confirming its authenticity and reliability, and the data was processed through the statistical program (SPSS) version 21 and by using the statistical tools such as the arithmetic mean, hypothetical mean, and t-test.

the study concluded that the perceived social support level among university students was high whether in the overall degree or at the level of dimensions.

it has equally concluded that there were no differences in the perceived social support level among university students, due university residency variable, the academic level, and the specialization, whether in the overall degree or at the level of each of the following dimensions : emotional support, financial support, information support.

meanwhile, the differences were statistically significant in the health support dimension due to the university residency variable for the internal students, to the academic level variable for the BAC students, and to the specialization variable for the scientific students.

differences were not significant in the sex variable whether in the overall degree or at the level of dimensions.
