Contemporary scientific studies have taken religion as a subject of research and consideration in order to reach strict and certain results in it, which left problems about its ability to study and anatomy.

Therefore, this article seeks to look at the sentence made at the level of defining the nature of religion, decoding its components, enumerating the approaches to research in the origin of its inception and identifying the total functions Which religion plays at the level of the individual and society, through analysis and induction, to reach results, including the diversity of scientific approaches and the multiplicity of its premises, which makes it impossible to build a unified cognitive system around the religious phenomenon, despite the currentness of the issue.
