It was initially known as the basis for the cryptocurrency - Bitcoin - Bitcoin, as it had enjoyed great success in the world of finance and business, but its adaptability attracted the interest of researchers and decision-makers recently, and made them look for ways to adapt This technology and its integration into the public sector as a start to enter the world of smart government, despite the legal and security problems raised by this proposal, which adds ambiguity about the effectiveness of integrating Blockchain in this sector.

This study aims, in both theoretical and practical aspects, to introduce Block chain technology, to know its relationship with smart government, and to search for the advantages that can be achieved when included in public services, as well as the obstacles that may prevent this, in addition to trying to cover the possible applications of this technology in the public sector by monitoring initial projects And sometimes the empiricism that developed governments began to dispatch, such as Estonia, Korea, Switzerland, Italy, China, Japan, and the UAE, and this is in several areas, most notably: identity management, election, health care, and justice.
