Abstract EN

Endowment is a legal act which its purpose is to confine the ownership of money in perpetuity and to charitably give benefits in the various aspects of righteousness and welfare, giving that the religious factor is the main motive for its foundation.

Endowment has a very crucial role whether on the human level, as it is considered a charitable act, or on the economic level, as it is a process that combines savings and investment.

Therefore, endowment is a kind of an economic institution with permanent presence that contributes to achieve social and economic development, as the case of Zakat funds.

On this ground, we are seeking through this research paper to shed light on this legal system that we consider as important, as an attempt to introduce it and highlight the most important aspects that make it a voluntary act of a special nature.
