The “Maqamat” is considered a distinct literary genre in the Arab heritage.

indeed, it has gained a degree of fame and spread.

however, it did not receive the necessary attention.

yet since the research in the Arab heritage and reading it from a new perspective has recently become one of the main tasks undertaken by Arab critics in order to build an Arab critical theory, and within this approach, we can shed light on the experience of the Moroccan critic Abdel Fattah Kilito, which contributed to a different reading in terms of analysis and interpretation, and was credited with returning the art of “Maqamat” to the center of attention.
