Abstract EN

This study aims to investigate the factors that lead to the exacerbation of the child labor phenomenon in Algeria and its effects, as it's among the social phenomena witnessed by the Algerian society, which is taking dangerous dimensions at the present time due to its spread and the results resulting from it, which spread among a significant group of the children of this society.

Through the analysis of the content of a series of interviews were conducted on a sample of working children, we found that this category of children suffers from a great deprivation of the minimum requirements of life, which prompted them to look for work to support and help their family to provide some of the necessities of life, by engaging in any activity that allows them to obtain some money, although this affects several aspects in their lives.

This also means that they will be failing or dropping out of school, in addition to contracting some diseases as a result.
