After of the wars in Europe in the seventeenth century, fears of foreign invasion had been grew in all European kingdoms to add to the concerns of the already existing separatist movements.

the king of Brussia Frederick III announced popular mobilization to increase the number of armed forces, to be the first appearance of the concepts of "military citizen", to spread after that in most of European countries, but some tended to sanctify it and give it other dimensions by linking it to the issue of affiliation as a “service to the nation”, there fore, this study aims to clarify the reality of military service and the extent of its effectiveness in the axis of strengthening the issue of national affiliation and identity.
