Abstract EN

The study aims to highlight the most important developments in the 2020 constitutional amendment concerning the membership of the constitutional court, in particular those pertaning to the conditions for standing for membership in the constitutional court and the legal guarantees of neutrality and impartiality of members.

the study found that the constitutional founder of the 2020 amendment tighen the imposition of conditions for membership of the constitutional court, particularly those relating to age, experience and specialization, by reducing recruitment opportunities and limiting them to selected legal professionals.

and althought it's recognized for many safeguards to protect the members of the constitutional court to ensure their impartiality, and independence and they are not subject to any effects outside the context of the constitutional court, but they remain limited to ensuring that this is done in the ence of a provision that the members of the constitutional court cannot be dismissed.
