The political responsibility of the government before the parliament is a key principle of the parliamentary system, by enabling the parliament to have mechanisms in the face of a government that has the right to dissolve it, in accordance with the principle of power stopping power.

accordingly, the 2020 constitutional amendment established ways to hold the government as the holder of power before the parliament by activating questioning.

the aim of the study is to examine the extent to which the Algerian constitutional founder is influenced by the parliamentary system by the provisions of the political responsibility of the government in order to reflect the principle of the inherent power and responsibility, as well as the extent to which the balance between the legislative and executive branches is established ; this leads to the conclusion that the legislative framework does not conform to the provisions of the 2020 constitutional amendment.
