Abstract EN

We have eliminated violence and terrorism as a complex moral societal problem, and is mainly due to the decline of values in society.

This phenomenon reached dangerous levels in Algeria during the so-called black decade.

To confront it, it requires the participation of all state security institutions and institutions of social and cultural upbringing, such as the family, the mosque and the school, and even the media in all Its forms, due to its characteristics and capabilities that help it influence the cognitive, emotional and behavioral field of the individual in different places of residence (rural-city), Despite the role played by the media in addressing and trying to consolidate the cultural identity of the recipients of the media message, especially the rural residents who migrated to the city in search of a better life or to escape the tyranny of terrorism, their handling of the phenomenon was modest, with one party believing that the marriage of the population contributed to spreading awareness.

Another party sees it as “the countryside of the city” through the transfer and consolidation of rural culture in the city, and here the following question arises: How did the media handle the issues of the black decade? Has this treatment affected the rebuilding of the cultural identity of the inhabitants of the city and the countryside in Algeria?
