Abstract EN

The aim of this academic contribution is the examination of the most significant shifts that security issues have known in their scientific and practical aspects, by presenting and explaining the major developments in security matters, notably, on the conceptual and theoretical frameworks as well as the intellectual and empirical dimensions.

In this context, the current study is concerned with specific key shifts including, the fields of security, levels of security, actors, types and major theoretical schools.

The nature and purpose of the study has also required addressing certain shifts associated with fundamental phenomena and topics in contemporary international interactions, which had direct repercussions on the issues of security, in their national, regional and global facets, in particular, borders, sovereignty and the question of struggle for information.

In addition to the above, this academic contribution was concerned with presenting certain perceptions related to the future of security issues in both their theoretical and practical sides.
