Abstract EN

The presente paper aims at exploring Nasser Salmi's novel " Cup of Coffee and a Piece of Croissant" through a deep interpretation that unravels text's meanings and questions experimental representations of the author.

Besides, it tends to handle the issues of transformation, dynamism and becoming.

The novel in question is the second text awarded in Katara Arabic Best Novel in 2019, category of unpublished works.

The author was also awarded for his previous novel "blue tongues" in 2016.

"Cup of Coffee" is a continuity of the first novel.

If "the Blue Tongues" tackles the theme of rumor and assassination of teachers at the region of Ain Aden in Sfisef on September 27th, 1997, this novel handles the issue of the missing people in the 1990's through a detailed journey from Algiers, to Relizane, to Oran.

The study sheds light on experimentation representations on both the thematic and barrative levels.
