English Abstract

The pure films of polymer (polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)) and doped them with iron chloride (FeCl 3) salt with different concentrations ((1, 3, 5, 7 and 9) wt%) have been prepared by using casting technique.

The thermal properties and FTIR of pure and doped films were studied.

The experimental results of (PVA-FeCl3) composite film show that the thermal conductivity is unstable when increasing the filler content, while the glass-transition temperature increases with increasing the filler content, and all the absorption bands of the bonds O-H, C-H, C=O, C=C, C-O, C-C and CH R2 Rof pure (PVA) film shift to the higher wavenumbers with increasing the filler content in the doped (PVA) film with FeCl R3 R salt
