Abstract EN

This study deals with one of the problems facing the refining industry in Algeria.

it is the issue of imbalance and the repercussions on its exports within the structure of exports of petroleum products.

the problem of the study centered on the amount of loss from this imbalance.

the study found that Algeria lost large and direct losses in the form of price differences and leakages in the form of imports, and indirectly in the form of taxes and subsidy charges for imported products.

the study also found that exports of refined products face challenges in their international markets .....

accordingly, the study suggests working on reforming the industry's structure locally; then to promote exports of refined products within the structure of exports of petroleum products, reform policies to support their prices, and finally work to improve the quality of refined products in accordance with the conditions of international markets.
