Abstract EN

The aim of this study is to identify the importance of employing electronic applications based on the picture communication system (PECS) in developing communication and social interaction skills among students with autism spectrum disorder.

the results of this study showed that the general arithmetic mean of the importance of employing female teachers with autism spectrum disorder for electronic applications based on the picture communication system (PECS) in the educational environment was (4.38), meaning a degree of importance (very large), the results also showed that there were no statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) in the level of requirements to employ female teachers with autism spectrum disorder for electronic applications based on the picture communication system (PECS) in the educational environment according to academic specialization, job level, academic qualification, and years of professional experience , and the level of dealing with educational technology, and based on the results, the researcher made a number of recommendations, most notably : working on the employment of electronic applications based on the picture exchange communication system (PECS) in developing verbal communication skills for students with autism spectrum disorder, and conducting complementary studies on the subject.
