Abstract EN

The current study aimed to reveal the competencies of the early intervention team in centers for mentally disabled children, according to the variable years of service and the variable of educational level.

The study was conducted on a sample of early intervention team members who work in 4 centers for mentally handicapped children in the state of Annaba.

Their number reached 52 members, including 28 with less than 11 years of service, 24 with service greater or equal to 11 years, 29 of them with university level and 23 with baccalaureate level.

The researcher used the descriptive approach by distributing a questionnaire to the sample members.

The results showed that the two variables of the study did not affect the sample members who agreed that they did not have the competencies of preventive, educational and curative intervention.

This confirms the importance of training and qualifying the early intervention team.
