In this article we propose to make an iconographic rereading of a marble virile head, which was found in the ancient city of Sitifis, present-day Sétif downtown.
This head was studied and published for the first time by its inventors in the second volume of the Bulletin de la société historique et géographique de la région de Sétif.
This study was not thorough and the photographs were not of good quality.
On these photos the object is almost unrecognisable.
Moreover, these bulletins are not accessible and are not well known.
Moreover, since this publication, no study has been made on this head.
It is unknown to the rest of the scientific committee.
Thus, we propose to study it again, while proposing to recognise the person represented on it and who could be the emperor Vespasian.

Dans cet article nous proposons de faire une relecture iconographique d'une tête virile en marbre, qui a été trouvée dans l'antique ville Sitifis, actuelle Sétif centre-ville.
Cette tête avait été étudiée et publiée pour la première fois par ses inventeurs, dans le second tome de Bulletin de la société historique et géographique de la région de Sétif.

Cette étude n'était pas approfondie et les photographies n'étaient pas de bonne qualité.
Sur ces photos, l'objet est presque non reconnaissable.
Par ailleurs, ces bulletins ne sont pas accessibles et sont peu connus.
En outre, depuis cette publication, aucune étude n'a été faite sur cette tête.
Elle est méconnue du reste du comité scientifique.
Ainsi, nous proposons de la réétudier, tout en proposant de reconnaître le personnage qui y est représenté et qui pourrait être l'empereur Vespasien.
