Abstract EN

The theme of this article is part of an attempt to write the ancient history of the city of Skikda (ancient Rusicade), all relying on the results of the colonial school, as well as on the few of the ancient references, and even on what archaeological discoveries have revealed to us, with the aim of drawing a general framework of the ancient history of the city.

And it is believed that this essay has given us important and beneficial results for any debate around the ancient history of Rusicade, this history which spans a period of up to about a thousand years (5 centuries BC to 4 centuries AD) in which the city has known several historical stages, between prosperity and decline as can be seen in this sheet.
