Abstract EN

The current study aims at predicting despair and depression among Saudi and Egyptian juvenile delinquents, by studying the order of symptoms of depression and the level of tendency to violence and delinquency and their level of despair and hostility.

the two researchers used a set of scales: (the multidimensional scale for depression in children and adolescents-the propensity scale for violence and delinquency-the despair scale-the hostility scale), and a set of statistical methods were used: (the multidimensional scale for depression of children and adolescents-the propensity scale for violence and delinquency-the despair scale-the aggression scale), and a set of statistical methods were used: (Pearson correlation coefficients- Cronbach's alpha stability coefficient-"Kolmogorov test-Smirnov"-Levin test-test (v) for two independent samples).

the study reached a set of results, the most important of them is that the despair variable has a positive tendency towards the depression variable, which means that the greater the despair of delinquents, the greater their sense of depression.
