Promoting investment in the non-hydrocarbon sector as a means to achieve economic diversification

The hydrocarbon and the oil sector, in particular, constitutes the main component of the Algerian economy.

however, with the emergence of the crisis and the negative effects resulting from the sharp drop in oil prices in global markets, have prompted the Algerian legislator, in an attempt to revive the national economy, to amend the constitution and search for alternatives, the most important of which was to enhance investment through providing for its freedom and its environment control.

this has led to the emergence of an investment legislative trend to achieve economic diversification, as Algeria has enacted a number of laws related to investment promotion by granting many incentives and guarantees for investors in order to promote the investment sector and the domestic economy.
