This study aimed to shed light on the thought of Sharif Hussein bin Ali and the role he played at the end of the nineteenth century and the beginning of the twentieth century, especially as he was contemporary with several intellectual trends that were affected by it, most notably nationalist thought and Islamic thought, forming a consensual thought that combined the two, as the study house Sharif Hussein's life and upbringing singled out his political and diplomatic personality, and formed an orientalist vision for the future, which he embodied in his relationship with the Ar, Britain and the Ottoman Empire.

Therefore, it is not possible to separate them, and I have reached several results, most notably: Intellectual security is considered the first priority of Sharif Hussein bin Ali.

This personality was influenced by multiple factors that have complete aspects of the psychological personality, which are integrative, compatibility with social requirements and have the element of initiative and adaptation to difficulties And constancy while maintaining an appropriate amount of sensitivity and emotionality, and these qualities gave Sharif Hussein bin Ali the direction he took in his later life.

With a national Islamic thought at once, the idea of separating religion from the state appears for the first time, and the non-interference of the Caliph in political and administrative affairs.

Al-Sharif also adopted progressive thought and an attempt to establish a school that advances science and chooses its ruler on the basis of efficiency in work and acceptance of criticism and other opinion.
