The research aims to: reveal the manifestations of color within the narrative discourse, and highlight the geometric formation of color - within the narrative text - as an energy that reflects the psychological, social, and cultural dimensions of the novelistic characters, and its connotations: suggestive and symbolic of color within the narrative context, and reveal artistic affinity Between the narrative context and color as a signifying semiotic icon.

The research has adopted the semiotic approach, which is concerned with studying all systems of signs within social life; All: linguistic and non-linguistic signs and systems, signifiers, and the laws that regulate them; It is the main subject of this science, and among the reasons that prompted me to this study: - The color - in the novel “The Thief and the Dogs” - is an aesthetic addition that imposed itself on all the joints of the novel.

The writer employed color - within the novel - with artistic prowess; It produced: connotations, allusions, and multiple symbolisms.

Color is a prominent artistic phenomenon in the novel; Where she paid special attention to him, the writer invested the enormous energies that colors carry, and employed them - technically - to control the course of the narrative movement from the beginning of the text to its end.

The world cannot be imagined without colours; It is what gives things: their identity, qualities, and characteristics.

The color formed a prominent structure in the novel “The Thief and the Dogs” by Naguib Mahfouz; Where she took care of the employment of colors within her structure; To give: multiple connotations, various symbolic meanings; The narrative structure has increased: strength, depth, beauty, and artistry, and the creator has invested the enormous energies that colors carry in the text in: images, and various forms, starting with: the outer cover, the title, the color premise, and the structure of the text, and "Naguib Mahfouz" mastered the use of colors.

: direct, explicit, and indirect suggestive - within the novel - to generate multiple connotations and aesthetics, and finally the writer took care of highlighting the dimensions of color, which included: psychological, social, cultural, and religious dimensions.
