This research is a military study of one of the battles of the National Liberation Army that the Mujahedin fought against the elite forces of the French paratroopers, and other infantry forces supported by airplanes, armored vehicles.

It is about the battle of Foghala which took place on February 23, 1958 on the ground of the first historical wilaya, I based myself on the follow-up of Its course and its phases, the analysis of its results, and the lessons learned from oral and written testimonies and accounts of the Mujahedin on the one hand, and from French archival documents on the other.
