أثر جودة المعلومات في فاعلية اتخاذ القرارات الإدارية: دراسة ميدانية من وجهة نظر مديري الإدارة الإشرافية في مراكز الوزارات الأردنية

Abstract EN

This study aimed at identifying the effect of the quality of information on the effectiveness of administrative decision-making in the supervisory departments of Jordanian ministries’ centers, where the inferenal and descriptive analyses were utilized using on a questionnaire to collect data from the study sample, which consisted of 199 director, assistant director, unit head, and department head who were selected by using convenience sampling method from the Jordanian ministries ’centers.

the findings of the analysis resulted in the following: - the presence of a high level of the dimensions of the quality of administrative information individually (appropriateness of information, timeliness of information, accuracy of information and comprehensiveness of information) and as a whole, with an arithmetic average of (3.72), while the arithmetic average of the dimensions of the measure of effectiveness of decision-making (acceptance, influence, and continuity) as a whole (3.66) and a medium degree.

- the study showed a high positive impact (R2 = 0.709) with statistical significance for the quality of administrative information (appropriateness of information, timeliness of information, accuracy of information and comprehensiveness of information) on the effectiveness of administrative decision-making, as well as there was a statistically significant impact at the level of significance (α ≤ 0.05) for the quality of management information combined with the effectiveness of managerial decision-making (acceptance, influence and continuity).

- with regard to demographic variables, the results revealed that there were no statistically significant differences at (α ≤ 0.05) attributable to the variables of gender, age group, educational level and job title on the effectiveness of administrative decision-making, while statistically significant differences were found at (α ≤ 0.05) referred to years of experience on the effectiveness of administrative decision-making in Jordanian ministries’ centers.

- based on the answers to the open question, the study sample member indicated the researcher recommends the necessity of activating the participatory role in making decisions more closely between supervisors and employees, and making decisions.

in the light of the research findings, the research recommends conducting future studies to compare between both public and private sectors regarding this investigated relationship with different variables.
