Arabic Abstract

الدراسة: تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى محاولة الكشف عن أهمية المصادر الغربية في كتابة تاريخ الجزائر الحديث و التي تحتل درجة كبيرة من الأهمية، مع إعطاء قراءة تحليلية في مضامينها بالتركيز على دوافع المؤرخين و منهجهم في الكتابة خلال معالجتهم لأهم القضايا التاريخية، بحكم أنها غطت النقص الذي عرفته المصادر المحلية خاصة فيما تعلق بالجانب السياسي و العسكري.

فأعطت بذلك قراءة مغايرة للظروف و الملابسات التي صنعت الوقائع التاريخية، وهي على أهميتها لا تكاد تخلو من ميولات و أهداف تبعدها عن سمة الموضوعية التي يتطلبها البحث التاريخي، وهي ميولات أوجدتها اختلافات إثنية و أيديولوجية تمت صياغة أهدافها ضمن رؤية المدارس التاريخية الاستعمارية.

و تبعا لذلك على الباحث أن يتعامل بحذر مع المادة التاريخية التي تسوقها هذه الكتابات، و محاولة الوقوف على مدى مصداقية ما جاء فيها، من خلال إخضاعها للمنطق التاريخي و ربطها بالسياقات التاريخية التي وردت فيها

English Abstract

The purpose of this study is to uncover the importance of Western historical sources in writing the modern history of Algeria, which is of great importance.

It provides an analytical reading in its contents with a particular focus on historian's motivation and approach to writing, through handling the most important historical issues, since it covers the shortcomings that local sources have known, especially with regard to the political and military aspects.

In doing so, it gave a different reading of the circumstances that created the historical facts, which, as important as they were, were barely devoid of the tendencies and objectives that kept them away from the objective required by historical research, creating tendencies by ethnic and ideological differences whose objectives were formulated within the vision of colonial historical schools.

Accordingly, the researcher should deal carefully with the historical material that these writings promote, and trying to determine the credibility of what they say, by subjecting them to historical logic and linking them to contexts in which it is set out.
